Decorate with warm wall colours who embrace the interior. This is a trend we have already seen a lot of over the past years. A soft sense of the 1970s, in combination with oriental elements and residents who loves to travel. Love these warm ton-in-ton shades in bold red and pink and the way it breaks up with yellow as an accent color. Read More

For 2017, a much deeper and sophisticated colour is dubbed to be invading our rooms, bringing atmosphere and drama along with it. Colour of the Year 2016 Ochre Gold is a gold inspired ocher color. It’s found in nature and connects history and prevailing trends in a natural way. The color is strong enough to attract attention on its own, but is also beautiful in combination with other shades as reminder of nature’s own palette.
New blog post over at Purodeco Feng Shui, this time about feng shui bedroom. We spend a third of our life in our bedroom. It’s the space we wake up in and it’s the last space we see before retiring to sleep. The bedroom is one of the most important rooms in our home and should inspire, uplift us and bring peace.
Nature is coming alive and the colours seem to intensify with each passing day. The colours in the summer interiors are like the nature; vibrant and intense. Bring the nature inside with summery colours if you want to celebrate this wonderful time of the year. If you need to cool down, use light and smooth pastels. In Norway we are not always used to enjoying warm summers so I prefer a mix of both!
Home tour | Beautiful home with grey walls. The neutral color scheme creates a modern and cozy feel. The bed and couch are also kept in grey tints, which make the rooms look very peaceful. The black kitchen and the marble floor are really amazing. I love all the green plants and lovely details in every room which gives the home a modern and edgy yet timeless and classic impression.
This home in neutral colours designed by Remy Meijers is truly both relaxing and elegant. The mix of neutral fixtures, modern lightning and the beautiful stucco ceiling details creates a contemporary space that is timeless and sophisticated. Love the clean lines and neutral palette, a winning combination every time.
Fresh, graphic and colourful, Bråkig IKEA limited edition is the result of a collaboration with creative community ArtRebels. All the stunning pastels and fresh colour tones tap into this season’s colourful mood perfectly. In store from this February: don’t miss it – once it’s gone, it’s gone!
When ArtRebels was approached by IKEA last year with the intention of getting inspired, founder and CEO Carla Cammilla Hjort jumped on the opportunity to pitch them a cool project idea. The idea was to create a line of limited edition products inspired by the ArtRebels universe; cool, young, colourful, fresh, with a taste of Trailerpark music festival. After a few days IKEA came back to ArtRebels ready to move forward with the proposed collaboration. Range Strategist at IKEA Karin Gustavsson explains, “We were already familiar with ArtRebels’ playful, colourful style, so when we were choosing a partner for this new collaboration, they were an obvious choice.” Read More
I was thrilled when Fargerike announced Bluegreen as the color of the Year 2014 in November. With a fresh start, a new year and the spring coming up, I’m looking forward to test some of the beautiful bluegreen shades. This time I will try to explore some shades between iceblue and mintgreen. However first I am going to be even trendier, I will start the New Year with a digital detox.
And no, Digital detox is not an online detox program after putting on some extra pound in the Christmas. The Oxford Dictionary explains Digital detox: “a period of time during which a person refrains from using electronic devices such as smartphones or computers, regarded as an opportunity to reduce stress or focus on social interaction in the physical world: Break free of your devices and go on a digital detox”. So while I’m free from the internet and tests new bluegreen shades in my home, I wish you a happy New Year and see you in a few weeks! Read More
